Show Laser Systems Ltd return to Ghana for the Launch of MTN


			MTN celebrated the launch of their network in great style in Ghana during the first two weeks of August 2007. There were five shows in all, four in the capital Accra and one in Kumasi. Jonathan Simpson used a 5 watt multicolour Laser for spatial effects during the star studded shows which included acts from Shaggy, Marlon Asher and the amazing Batman Samini. A 400mw white light Laser was also used with tailor made animation for MTN. Great to see Nortey and Portia once again, with the usual high standard of organisation.

David and Jonathan Simpson of Show Laser Systems Ltd were honoured to be invited to Iceland by Mrs Yoko Ono Lennon for her ongoing “Imagine Peace Tower” project in time for what would have been John Lennon's 67th birthday. They used a 10watt white light Laser system with a unique effects head. The effect was a one meter diameter shaft of white light, dramatic in appearance especially with the icy cold, snowy conditions.

A Lovely week for a Guinness!

Show Laser Systems Ltd were proud to be involved in the launch of the new Guinness bottle over in Ghana from the 12th - 20th September 2006.

Jonathan Simpson and Ken Sumner travelled to Ghana with two Laser Systems, a 3watt green Laser for outdoor Shows and one 400mw white Light, multicolour Laser with tailor made animation for Guinness Ghana. Ken was involved with the first show in Accra but had to return to the U.K for other shows based here. The second show was in Kumasi, held at the Yegoala club, owned by Tony Yeboah, the Ghanaian footballer who also played for Leeds and , Hamburger SV amongst other teams. The Club was a perfect venue for the 3w system and the multicolour animation system was used outside to project full animation on to the building. The third and final show was held in Takoradi at the Planters Lodge hotel. The outdoor 3watt Laser was stunning as was the 400mw multicolour system. All three shows went according to plan and they seemed to surpass all expectations of Guinness and the entertainment company in Ghana who had organised the whole event. I would like to thank Nortey for his organisational skills and hospitality whilst I was in Ghana, Guinness, DJ Black and all the other people who looked after me. The two DJ's Manny and Daz, brought in from London were great company, and a great laugh as well as being fantastic D.J's.

Show Laser Systems Provided a 3W Laser to project a countdown, chiming bells and other Christmas animations to celebrate The Russian Winter Festival. The winter festival celebrates the Russian Old New Year. This is the date in January when the New Year was celebrated before the Russian Revolution in 1917. Text was also projected on to Nelson's Column.

The world famous Blackpool Illuminations have purchased an SMS texting system and full Pangolin control system for their existing Laser. The intention is to allow people to text messages directly to the Laser system and the output displayed on to a purpose built screen. The software installed has a bad language filter within, so no one can text obscene messages!!!

Star Wars Trilogy Launched With Show Laser Systems at MVC London Bridge

20th - 24th September

The London Bridge MVC store hires Show Laser Systems remote controlled animation / advertising system for the Star Wars Trilogy launch. The Laser System was rear projected on to a screen in their main shop window. Thousands of people who walk across the bridge, to and from work, stopped to watch the 5 minute animation with Star Wars characters and the war planes fighting. The response was magnificent, reports suggest that the Laser system encouraged higher sales volumes than would normally be expected!

Show Laser Systems were proud to be part of the spectacular production for the Rock Group Mostly Autumn on the 8th May 2004 at the Astoria in London. We provided 4 Matrix moving head Laser systems which projected animations, logos and effects. We also provided our 3W fixed head Melles Griot system for the high powered output requirements. Malcolm Reed, the lighting designer for the show was a delight to work with. The feedback for the Lasers was so positive we were booked to supply the same set of Lasers for the shows at the Newcastle Opera House on 14th May and on the 15th May at the Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton.

Show Laser Systems have recently supplied / installed & programmed a complete multicolour laser system in Grand Discotheque, Banjarmasin.

The equipment supplied included the Coherent Purelight Star ‘C’ laser (outputting 6W multicolor), with Cambridge Technology high speed scanning / AA PCOAM with customised driver control / diffraction effects from the main base and Pangolin controller. Show Laser Systems have become the first to install a complete high end Laser system utilising the latest technology in Kalimantan. The stunning results of the Laser effects can be seen above.

	CHINA - Latest News

Dave Simpson of Show Laser Systems was responsible for the recent sale (in co-ordination with William Ang and Alan He of Showtec Communications China), installation and training, of a 40W DPSS Nd YAG laser system supplied and manufactured by Laser Innovations with a Pangolin controller . Our customer needed to project Chinese characters and lissajous effects across the Yangtze (visible projection distance approx 20Km,depending on weather conditions) river in Chong Qing, China and to make known the prominent property developer ‘Sunshine 100’ (Translated to ‘Yang Guan Yi Bai’ in Mandarin). After re-installing Windows 98 Chinese version.. the capable employees were able to assist in typing Chinese text and subsequent projection within 1 hour… normal digtising or scanning of Chinese characters would take at least 4 days).
